Fish processing in Walvis Bay, Namibia
Etosha Fishing Corporation has entrenched its position as a leader in the Namibian fishing industry, not only as a world-class canning facility at the forefront of product innovation, but also as a proudly Namibian company and good corporate citizen that takes to heart the sustainable utilisation of Namibia’s fishing resource for the benefit of all Namibians. Our History Etosha Fishing Corporation, formerly known as the Walvis Bay Canning Company, pioneered Namibia’s fishing industry in the 1940s with the country’s first fishmeal and canning plant. In 1995 the facilities were completely revitalised and today Etosha Fishing boasts one of the best round can production facilities in the world.
Etosha Fishing more recently broke ground with its Efuta Maasbanker product range, making available Namibia’s national fish, horse mackerel, in a can.
