Overview & Conservation

Kifaru is an exclusive safari lodge + bush camp in Namibia (Outjo region), built for tranquillity, elevated bush experiences, and supporting wildlife conservation. 

They are affiliated with the Rhino Momma Project, a rhino conservation program. A portion of their revenue helps protect rhinos, and guests can book a visit to the project. 

The setting is remote bushveld, scenic mopane forest, rugged landscape ,perfect for guests wanting privacy, nature immersion, and wildlife viewing.

Deluxe Rooms / Deluxe Tented Chalets 2 rooms in the main lodge      

Also air-conditioned; en suite bathroom with large walk-in shower; double vanity; WC; similar toiletries; private decks; safe; tea & coffee; hairdryer; WiFi; bathrobes. Slightly more modest than Premier in terms of fittings (no bathtub & outdoor shower) but still very comfortable. 

Bush Camp Rooms 12 rooms (double or twin)     

En suite bathrooms with shower & toilet; more rustic style; wrap‐around verandas overlooking the waterhole and bush; a fully-stocked kitchen and a large barn-style main area; tranquility & comfort; ideal for families or groups wanting a simpler bush experience.

Activities & Experiences:

Guests have a variety of things to do, both from lodge and bush camp side. Some are seasonal or require guides. Here are what they offer:

Morning and afternoon game drives (on reserve) for wildlife viewing. 

Guided nature walks and photographic safaris. 

Birding – plenty of bird species recorded. 

Rhino tracking by foot (half-day) via Rhino Momma Project. 

Sundowner drives (drinks & snacks) at sunset. 

“Brunch with African Unicorns” — special seasonal lodge-guest experience. 

Wildlife viewing right from the waterhole at night (floodlit waterhole), especially from Bush Camp verandas or pool area.

Wildlife: over 60 mammal species are found on the reserve. 

Birds: approx. 319 bird species have been recorded.
